The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating a man accused of multiple sex offense charges. 

Students at Spotsylvania High School returned to class Monday facing a difficult first day back after three seniors were killed in a car crash during spring break.

The family of one of the three Northern Virginia students killed in a car crash spoke to FOX 5, saying the community has been "rocked" by the deaths of the teens who were supposed to graduate this spring. 

Authorities say three high school seniors were killed in a late-night crash in Spotsylvania County.

A former patient care technician at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting several elderly women over a nine‑month span last year, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office. 

Many residents in Spotsylvania County are still looking for answers after they woke up to the sound of loud bangs and law enforcement rolling through their neighborhood. 

Two people were killed early Wednesday morning when their pickup truck ran into a stopped tractor-trailer and caught fire along Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County, according to Virginia State Police.

James Bijesse, 61, was hit and killed on Patriot Highway on Oct. 11.

Starting Friday, September 19, all students, staff, and guests attending home high school football games at a Spotsylvania County Public Schools facility will be required to pass through a weapons detection system before entering the stadium.

At Wednesday’s preliminary hearing, a judge certified that 27-year-old Tyler Butler will be tried for second-degree murder. Back in May, Butler, a northern Virginia man, shot and killed a teenager around 3 a.m. during what investigators initially called a "ding-dong ditch" TikTok prank. 

A father is speaking out, saying that his son should not be in jail after he shot and killed a teen who he believed was trying to break into his home in Spotsylvania County earlier this year. 

A Virginia family is heartbroken and furious, claiming their middle-school-aged daughter was sexually assaulted at Post Oak Middle School and that the school failed to properly handle the incident. The family also believes the principal only informed the school community after FOX 5 started asking questions.
