Supreme Court rejects bump stock ban cases

The Supreme Court says it won't take up two cases that involved challenges to a ban enacted during the Trump administration on bump stocks, the gun attachments that allow semi-automatic weapons to fire rapidly like machine guns.

Virginia Thomas agrees to interview with Jan. 6 panel

Conservative activist Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has agreed to participate in a voluntary interview with the House panel investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, her lawyer said Wednesday. 

Supreme Court rulings protecting same-sex relationships could face challenge

Justice Clarence Thomas said that the Supreme Court should reconsider rulings that legalized same-sex marriage and protected same-sex relationships and contraception in his concurring opinion in favor of Mississippi in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health. This decision overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion ruling which legalized abortion nationwide. 

After Supreme Court ruling, it's open season on US gun laws

Court battles over the ruling come as the Biden administration and police struggle to stop a rise in violent crime and mass shootings, including several deadly shootings involving individuals who bought their guns legally.
