Kennedy Center cancels Pride events to align with new priorities

Organizers and the Kennedy Center have canceled a week's worth of events celebrating LGBTQ+ rights for this summer's World Pride festival in Washington, D.C., amid a shift in priorities and the ousting of leadership at one of the nation's premier cultural institutions.

San Jose State University officials said via an emailed statement, that the school is in-line with Mountain West and NCAA rules relating to the participation of a reportedly trans athlete on the school's women's volleyball team. So far, three schools have declined to compete against SJSU, instead having the matches either listed as cancelations or forfeitures.
