CINCINNATI - The Washington Nationals opening day game slated to take place against the Cincinnati Reds in Ohio on Thursday has been postponed due to impending inclement weather, according to Major League Baseball.
The Cincinnati Reds tweeted that the game was being delayed until 4:10 p.m. on Friday. First pitch was originally slated for 4:10 p.m. on Thursday.
The Nationals home opener in Washington will take place at 1:05 p.m. on April 5 against the New York Mets, a National League East division foe.
The Nats are heavily favored to clinch the NL East division title, which it has won two years in a row.
