Washington Nationals land first pick in 2025 MLB Draft
WASHINGTON - Big news for the Washington Nationals: The team has secured the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.
The announcement came Tuesday night, during the draft lottery held during Major League Baseball's annual winter meetings.

The Nationals had a 10% chance of landing the top pick, and now they’ll have the first choice when the draft begins on July 13, 2025, in Atlanta.
The Baltimore Orioles, meanwhile, will pick 19th overall.
The lottery win marks a pivotal moment for the Nationals as they continue to build for the future.
