Washington Capitals Stanley Cup Parade Guide: What you need to know
WASHINGTON - As more than 100,000 fans are expected to swarm the District on Tuesday to partake in the parade to celebrate the Washington Capitals Stanley Cup victory, here's everything you need to know.
Before you head down to the parade, please note the District's laws on drinking alcohol in public places and public intoxication. D.C. officials are also urging those attending the parade to bring plenty of water with them.

WHEN AND WHERE
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Constitution Avenue and 17th Street, NW. The parade will proceed along Constitution Avenue to 7th Street, NW and will turn south and end on 7th Street and the National Mall with an #ALLCAPS rally.
GETTING TO THE PARADE
Folks attending the parade are encouraged to take the Metro or to rideshare as parking will be extremely limited near the parade route. In preparations for the large crowds on Metro, officials announced Metro would be providing rush-hour service the entire day. Metro said the busiest stations are expected to be Archives, Arlington Cemetery, Foggy Bottom, Federal Triangle, Gallery Place, Metro Center, Federal Center SW, L'Enfant Plaza, Smithsonian and Union Station.
FORECAST
The hockey gods have blessed the District with the perfect forecast for a parade! While you're traveling to the parade, it'll be a little bit on the cooler side between 60 and 68 degrees. During the parade, you can expect temperatures between 70 and 75 degrees. The will be no rain, humidity or wind to plague the celebration so even Mother Nature is #ALLCAPS.
STREET CLOSURES AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS
The following street closures and parking restrictions will be in place in the District during the parade. Again, officials urge those attending the parade to use the Metro or rideshare.
7TH STREET, NW PARKING RESTRICTIONS
-Parking will not be allowed on 7th Street from 6:30 p.m. on Monday through 11 p.m. on Tuesday from Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to Independence Avenue, SW.
-7th Street will be closed from Constitution Avenue, NW to Independence Avenue, SW during the same time.

The following streets will be closed from 9:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Tuesday:

No parking will be allowed on the following streets from 6:30 pm on Monday through 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday:
