Sean Taylor remembered on 8th anniversary of his death

The Washington Redskins, former teammates and fellow NFL players paid tribute to Sean Taylor on Friday. The star football player died eight years ago after he was fatally shot by intruders inside his Miami home. He was only 24 years old.

A fan favorite, Taylor was considered one of the top defensive players in the NFL at the time of his death. Drafted out of the University of Miami in the first round in 2004, Taylor was a two-time Pro Bowler who had a rare ability to deliver punishing hits while being one of the best at intercepting passes and creating turnovers.

One of Taylor's most memorable moments came in the 2007 Pro Bowl on punter Brian Moorman.

Five men have been sentenced for their involvement in Taylor's death. He was shot to death in a botched burglary at his home while his girlfriend and daughter were also inside.
