Report: Robert Griffin III filing for divorce
CLEVELAND - There have been a lot of changes for NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III - both in his sports career and apparently in his personal life as well.
The former Washington Redskins player and current Cleveland Browns quarterback has been separated from his wife, Rebecca, and is in the process of filing for divorce, according to cleveland.com.
The Griffins have been married for three years and have a daughter together, who was born last year.
A source told cleveland.com, "Griffin has informed his teammates and coaches of the divorce, and they've been supportive."
Selected by the Redskins with the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Griffin was released by Washington back in March after a roller coaster ride of highs and lows during his four years in the nation's capital, which ended with him being benched in favor of Kirk Cousins for the entire 2015 season. Griffin would end up signing with the Browns and has been named the team's starting quarterback heading into this year.
