Hometown Olympic hero Katie Ledecky returns after gold-medal performance in 2016 Rio Games
DULLES, Va. - Hometown Olympic hero Katie Ledecky returned home Wednesday after gold-medal performance in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Ledecky raced in five events winning four gold medals and a silver medal. She took gold in her three individual events (the 200, 400, and 800-meter freestyle) and in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay. She took silver in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay.
Ledecky made her Olympic debut at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
After resting at home she will head to Stanford University where she will begin her freshman year.
