Dwayne Haskins, a graduate of Bullis School in Potomac, drafted by Washington Redskins
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Dwayne Haskins is coming home.
The Ohio State quarterback was selected at No. 15 overall by the Washington Redskins in Round 1 of the NFL Draft.
Haskins - who attended Bullis School in Potomac - was among the top quarterback prospects in the draft this year.
A Heisman trophy finalist, Haskins declared for the draft after setting Ohio State and Big Ten passing records his sophomore year.
The Redskins struggled in 2018 after losing quarterback Alex Smith when he broke his leg against Houston.
They finished the season with a 7-9 record overall, winning just one more game after Smith suffered his season-ending injury.
