Here's how to report school, business or government delays, closings, or early dismissals to FOX 5 DC

If you have already signed up for the FOX 5 DC / WTTG closing and delays system, please use the form below to enter your ID Code, Password and provide the status of your organization. 

If you are looking for today's Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland school closings and delays, click here.

If you are a school, business or other organization who wishes to sign up for our closings system, please email wttgweatherclosings@fox.com with the following information on letterhead. A sample is provided below. 

  • Your organization's name as you would like to see it displayed
  • Include the contact information (name, address, phone and email) for the organization and person responsible for the account

We will then contact you with an ID and Passcode which you'll want to keep in a safe place to access it quickly. 

Please note: We are unable to provide access the same day as a weather event as it may take a few days to update. Further, contacting that address or our assignment desk directly by email or phone to report a closing does not result in it ending up on the list.
