As prosecutors work to show a timeline of events, the jury was shown what appears to be a text message exchange between Amy Savopoulos and one of her two daughters, who were both away at boarding school. "K Savopoulos," believed to be their daughter Katerina wrote:
"Asked a guy to the prom because gender roles are stupid"
Two minutes later Amy replied:
"Good job--remember to hold the door for him since gender roles are stupid 😉 really glad you are going."
Another witness, Margaret Pressler who is a friend of Amy's told the court she saw Amy Savopoulos walking near the Oyster School on May 13 at 3:25 p.m. Pressler said Amy looked fine, relaxed dressed nice.
The Oyster School is just down the street from the Savopoulos home and the reference to the time appears to be the prosecutions' effort to show the crime began sometime after.

Later that day, an employee with a dog sitting resort told the jury she called Amy at 4:25 p.m. about an appointment. Amy called back on her cell phone and said she would keep an upcoming appointment, but sounded sleepy, and under the weather, not like herself at all.
The jury was also shown email messages sent the next day, the day of the murders, apparently from neighbors trying to alert the Savopoulos' to the fire at their house.
"Your house is on fire, not a joke"
Another simply said: "Fire"
The jury was shown two videos, one showing Amy Savopoulos and her son Phillip walking into a doctor's office just hours before they were taken hostage.
There is also a more chilling and gruesome video, which included footage of the inside of the Savopoulos mansion recorded about a week after the murders. The video showing the damage to the upstairs bedrooms where the bodies were found.
When the video showed the charred bed where Phillip Savopoulos was found, a detective testified.
"I could smell the odor of burned human remains."
