Woodbridge girl's dog bites man who tried to abduct her, Prince William County police say
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - A 10-year-old girl's dog bit a man that attempted to abduct her while she was walking in Woodbridge, according to officials.
Prince William County police said the girl was walking her dog in the 1800 block of Heather Glen Court at about 3:50 p.m. on Friday when she was approached by a man.
Authorities said the suspect grabbed the girl by her arm and attempted to abduct her. The girl's dog bit the suspect, forcing him to run away from the scene, according to police.
Authorities with a police K-9 searched the area, but the suspect was not found. The victim was not hurt during the incident, according to officials.
The suspect was described as a man in his late teens or early 20s, between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds with short dark hair and a goatee.
Police said he was last seen wearing a white striped shirt and light colored pants.
