DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. - Yulanda Dailey and her husband, Gil, have been married for five years, but they act like newlyweds. Valentine's Day is something Yulanda plans out carefully each year. This year, she wanted to turn up the heat a bit.
"Every day is special for us, but this was just going to be a little extra," she said.
Yulanda went online and picked out a sexy outfit and some heels for her. For Gil, she got him a nice robe and, let's just say, another intimate clothing item.
"I was wanting to make Valentine's Day special," said Yulanda.
But as the big day got closer, the sexy clothing package never arrived. Yulanda called the post office and then decided to check her security camera. She found that her package was snatched outside her home by the hands of a stranger.
However, the couple believes this thief will not be too happy to find what was inside.
"Well, I'm a big dude and I think it was a [size] XX or XXX, whatever she got me," said Gil. "This dude looked like he was an extra small."
Yulanda said she can get over losing out on $63 for the purchase, but what really got her upset was that someone got in the way of a tradition she tries to make so special.
Was there a Plan B for Yulanda?
"I had to go to the old stuff with the little holes and tears in it maybe," she said laughingly. "Not so sexy I guess."
Yulanda said she loves Valentine's Day because she always grew up watching her parents make it so special, so she wanted to do the same thing for Gil.
The loving couple did file a report with the District Heights Police Department and they are looking into it.
