Woman stabbed at Columbia Heights Metro Station: police

Authorities are investigating a stabbing at a D.C. Metro station that left a woman injured.

WASHINGTON - Authorities are investigating a stabbing at a D.C. Metro station that left a woman injured.

Police say the stabbing was reported around 10 a.m. at the Columbia Heights Metro Station on 14th Street in the northwest.

Officers say the stabbing happened on the Metro platform. The woman is conscious and breathing.

Investigators describe the male suspect as heavy set with glasses who was last seen leaving the station.
