Woman shot and killed in Suitland, police say

A woman was shot and killed outside of a Suitland home Monday evening.

SUITLAND, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A woman was shot and killed outside of a Suitland home Monday evening.

Police say they received a call around 7:30 p.m. for a shooting in the 2300 block of Whitehall Street.

A woman is dead after a shooting in a Prince George's County neighborhood.

When officers arrived at the scene, police say they located a woman outside who was suffering from gunshot wounds. She was later pronounced dead.

Detectives are now working to establish suspect(s) and motive in this case.

FOX 5's Lindsay Watts reports that a few blocks away from the shooting above, another shooting was reported on Arnold Rd.

There have been no further details released on this shooting at this time.
