Car crash on busy Aspen Hill road leaves 1 woman dead
A car crash at the intersection of Bonifant Road and Layhill Road left one woman dead Monday afternoon. Officials say commuters should expect major delays in the area.
ASPEN HILL, Md. - A woman is dead after a violent crash in Aspen Hill on Monday.
The two-car collision was reported just after 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Layhill Road and Bell Pre Road.
Authorities say the woman, who has been identified as 77-year-old Maria Perdomo, died after the red 2013 Subaru Outback she was driving sustained major damage.
The man behind the wheel of the second vehicle, a 2019 Tesla Model Y, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
