Woman killed in double stabbing at Fairfax Hilton

SPRINGFIELD, Va. - UPDATE (2:21 P.M.): Police say they have charged 34-year-old Matthew Cook of Louisiana with second-degree murder following the fatal stabbing in the Springfield Hilton. This is the sixth homicide reported so far this year in Fairfax County.

One dead following double stabbing at Fairfax Hilton

A woman is dead after a double stabbing early Saturday at a Hilton hotel in Fairfax County.

Police say it happened around 3 a.m. at the Hilton Springfield on Loisdale Road.

A man is recovering after the double stabbing. Police are investigating the relationship between the man and the woman in what they are calling an isolated incident.
