WASHINGTON - During a night out on the town in D.C., a woman discovered a $5,000 ring left inside a Dupont Circle bar. Now, she is trying her best to find its owner.
"It was the last weekend in April," said Kimberly Ocon. "It was a drunken night."
Ocon was at Madhatter on Connecticut Avenue on April 28 when she found the ring on the checkered floor in the corner of a bathroom stall.
With no sign of the woman or her empty finger that night, Ocon called the bar the following day about the ring.
"I faintly remember the girl who actually had it because I saw her showing it around," said Ocon.
Apparently, the woman who lost the ring called the bar as well, but she didn't leave her number.
Since then, Ocon has been calling Madhatter every three days in hopes that the owner has contacted them, but no luck so far.
"I am on a mission to find the owner of the ring," Ocon said. "I am sure she is looking for it because I would be looking for it if it was my ring."
