null - A technical issue that mysteriously changed the appearance of the Facebook icon has been resolved after multiple users noticed it on their devices.
A Meta spokesperson told FOX Television Stations on Friday, "This was caused by a technical issue and has been resolved. People will see the fix when they update their app."
The logo usually has a white F on a blue background, but instead apparently changed to a blue F on a black background. Several users with their phones in dark mode reacted with pictures of their Facebook app having a white background with the blue "f."

Theories about the logo started with a Reddit thread on Thursday titled, "What’s wrong with the Facebook logo?"
"The icons stuck in inverted mode? Try flipping smart invert on/off. This is the icon in dark mode in iOS 18 (notice the gradient)," one Reddit user wrote.
"I have the same app. They did something," another commenter said.
Reaction even circulated to X, formerly Twitter, with one user saying "The new logo for the Facebook app is not very demure but very irritating."
Another wrote "Why does the new Facebook logo look like it’s doing an update all the time now…."
While a third person chimed in asking, "Anyone else's facebook app icon suddenly seem a lot more sinister?"
