Water main break repaired but major damage left behind in Montgomery County
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Crews have repaired a massive water main break that struck in the Gaithersburg area of Montgomery County Thursday night but major damage has been left behind.
The break happened when a pipe burst on Brassie Way in Montgomery Village. The force of the water was so intense when it shot out that it broke out windows and caused other damage to townhomes.
No one was hurt but several homes were evacuated and three townhomes are now uninhabitable.
Water service has been restored to the other homes in the complex.
