National Cathedral on Jimmy Carter's legacy
The Cathedral, which has hosted the State Funerals of past presidents, including Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, expressed its honor in commemorating Carter's life.
"President Carter exemplified a life of public service rooted in personal faith," said the Very Rev. Randolph Marshall Hollerith, dean of the Cathedral. "Whether teaching Sunday School, building houses for the poor, or pursuing peace through the Carter Center, President Carter demonstrated what it means to translate faith into action."
Who will attend Jimmy Carter's State Funeral?
The service is expected to draw former presidents, military leaders, and Congressional officials. While the Cathedral has not yet announced details regarding eulogists or officiating clergy, additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
Strict safety measures will be in place during the service to ensure the well-being of attendees.
