Washington Commanders vs. Detroit Lions playoff game is hottest ticket in NFL: StubHub

The Washington Commanders playoff game against the Detroit Lions is the hottest ticket in NFL.

Ticket resale platform StubHub says the NFC matchup is the best-selling divisional round game of the playoffs on their site by far.

They say the game is outselling the contest between the Ravens and Bills by almost triple.

By the numbers:

The average price of tickets sold for the game is $993.

"The game between the Commanders and Lions has all the makings of a high-demand matchup - a team that just won its first playoff game since 2006 competing against America’s favorite team. It’s the hottest ticket of the weekend by far, nearly tripling the sales of the other divisional round games," said Adam Budelli, a StubHub spokesperson in a statement.

Timeline:

The Commanders (13-5) will face the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions (15-2) in the divisional round playoff on January 18 at 8 p.m.

The Commanders were not expected to get past the Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs. Jayden Daniels set upthe team for a 37-yard field goal that clanged off the right upright and went through as time expired, propelling the Commanders to a 23-20 victory.

Washington is considered an even bigger underdog against the Lions, who are rested and refreshed after their bye week.
