WASHINGTON - Washington Commanders fans can help pick the team's new mascot.

The team has narrowed down the choices to four categories:

• Dog
• Hog
• Historical Figure
• Superhero

Commanders fans can cast their votes on the team's website until August 21.

The Commanders dropped their first preseason game to the Carolina Panthers 23-21.
