Virginia man facing animal cruelty charges for killing kitten after it scratched 3-year-old daughter
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - A Virginia man is facing charges of animal cruelty in Prince William County, according to officials.
Prince William County Police say Animal Control officers responded to a home in the 14900 block of Fruit Tree Court in Woodbridge, Va. on Sunday to investigate an animal cruelty complaint.
Officials say 46-year-old Rocky Bryan Hearn was arrested for allegedly killing the family's 4-month old domestic short hair cat after learning that the cat scratched his 3-year-old daughter on the face earlier that morning.
Police say Hearn was arrested without incident and is being held without bond. He is due to appear in court in October, officials say.
