Verbal altercation escalates to victim being stabbed in Northeast

WASHINGTON - Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to police, the victim and the suspect were engaged in a verbal dispute Wednesday around 9:08 p.m. in the 300 block of Riggs Road. During the dispute, the suspect stabbed the victim then fled the scene.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
