TALBOT COUNTY, Md. - A Maryland State Police bloodhound named "Gunner" - who was reported lost - has been located.
State police asked for the public's help in finding Gunner earlier in the day on Thursday.
A short while later, they said he had been found safe in good condition - not far from where he disappeared in Talbot County.
They say the K-9 was being walked to his handler's vehicle for his first tour when he noticed a group of deer.
Gunner slipped through his collar and chased the deer into the woods.
