The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a complaint of "unlawful filming" in a high school boys' locker room.

The incident involves cell phone footage in which three teenage students and one adult teenage student were filmed in their underwear at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn.

The student who was filming deleted the video prior to law enforcement’s involvement.

As the incident involves juvenile victims and a juvenile suspect, no further information can be released at this time, according to the sheriff's office. LCSO says they are working closely with school administrators to determine the most appropriate course of action.

FOX 5 reached out to Loudoun County Public Schools for a statement:

"I cannot reply to your inquiry because of federal student privacy laws and an active law enforcement investigation.  I can state that safety is the number one priority for LCPS and we are dedicated to providing an environment where all students and staff members can learn, work, and feel safe."

On Wednesday, Stone Bridge High School officials sent out a letter to families confirming the investigation into the incident.

You can read the full letter below:

"To the Stone Bridge High School Community,

Our administration is aware of media reports that an inappropriate video may have been taken in a locker room at Stone Bridge High School after school last week. I want to take this opportunity to inform our families about this matter.

Stone Bridge staff learned of this incident on Friday afternoon and immediately reported it to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), which is investigating at this time. School administration has addressed the allegations with the students involved and their families. Because this incident involves confidential student information, we cannot share further details at this time.

I want to remind parents to speak with their students about the proper use of cell phones and to refrain from using them in private spaces, making inappropriate recordings or joking about doing so. Our students are entitled to privacy in bathrooms and locker rooms, and we expect all of our students to respect the privacy of their peers.
