WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Plenty of sunshine but a chilly start Tuesday as cooler and breezier air moves into the region. But don't worry -- signs of spring are not far away as warmer temperatures are expected in our area by the weekend.

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says high pressure building in from the west will bring us the cooler temperatures during the first half of the day Tuesday. A warmer and pleasant afternoon is shaping up with sunny skies and highs around 50 degrees.
A we move ahead in the week and toward the weekend, spring-like temperatures arrive bringing highs in the 60s on Thursday and into the 70s on Friday and Saturday. Keep an eye out for some showers on Sunday and cooler weather as we head into next week.
