Thieves bust into Silver Spring laundromat and steal entire cash register: police
SILVER SPRING, Md. - Authorities say an entire cash register was stolen from a laundromat in Montgomery County by thieves who raided the business about an hour apart.
The burglary happened October 11 at the Speedy Laundromat in the 12500 block of Layhill Road in Silver Spring.
Police say around 3:50 a.m., a suspect busted the glass front door of the business and stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area.
Officers say about an hour later, a second suspect entered the business through the broken front door and stole the cash register that contained an undisclosed amount of money.
Investigators say the first suspect is a male who was wearing a black mask that covered his entire face, red sweatshirt, black pants and black gloves.
The second suspect is described by police as a white male with black curly hair, wearing a gray shirt and black pants. The second suspect did not appear to have full use of his left arm.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-866-411-8477. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
