Teen to be sentenced for role in shooting death of 3-year-old
WASHINGTON - The 17-year-old who provided a gun used in the accidental shooting of a 3-year-old in southeast D.C. will be sentenced Friday.
The teen pleaded guilty earlier this month. Prosecutors say a 7-year-old found the illegal gun, and accidentally killed his sister, 3-year-old Dalis Cox.
The judge will decide whether he should remain in juvenile detention until he's 21, or be placed on probation and perform community service.
