Suspects carjack man, throw unknown liquid on him in Tysons Corner Center parking garage: police

Fairfax County Police say a suspect is in custody following a carjacking at Tysons Corner Center. The victim said the two men took his keys, threw an unknown liquid at him and took off in his 2022 Blue BMW X5. The car has been recovered.

Fairfax County Police say a 14-year-old is in custody after a man was carjacked by two teens and had liquid sour candy thrown on him.

Officers responded to a parking garage in the 7900 block of Tysons Corner Center where the carjacking took place Thursday night.

According to investigators, the suspects grabbed the victim's keys and threatened to throw "acid" on him. One of the juveniles threw the green liquid and the other entered the victim's car, and the pair fled the scene in the victim's 2022 Blue BMW X5. Police later determined the liquid was sour candy.

No injuries were sustained in the incident, and the car was later recovered.

On Friday, police announced they had charged a 14-year-old juvenile from Maryland for the carjacking. Officials are still on the lookout for the second suspect, described by police as a Hispanic male, around 5’3, with short black hair, wearing black pants, a black shirt, and red and white sneakers.
