Surveillance video shows elderly man using walker being pickpocketed inside DC medical building, police say

Authorities are trying to identify a suspect they say was captured on surveillance video picking the pocket of an elderly man inside a medical building in Washington, D.C.

The incident happened just before 11 a.m. on Monday, September 30 inside of the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates building on Pennsylvania Avenue.

In the video, a man seen wearing jeans, carrying a black bag and wearing a green hat motions to an elderly man using a walker to go ahead of him into a waiting elevator.

As the elderly man enters the elevator, surveillance video appears to show the man police suspect in the pickpocketing reaching into his back pocket where his wallet is kept.
