State champions Quince Orchard honored

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - The Quince Orchard Cougars football team was honored Friday night after winning the MPSSAA Class 4A state championship, and earning a national ranking.

For the achievement, the Cougars were named to the 14th Annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions and honored during halftime at the Quince Orchard boys basketball team's game against Northwest.

In order to earn the honor, a team must win its state championship, and achieve a high ranking by MaxPreps.

For football, only 50 of the nation's best are invited.
