Southeast student wins Google Science Fair competition

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Students at Friendship Tech Prep Academy in Southeast were celebrating their classmate on Friday.

But it wasn't an athletic achievement they were celebrating - the student being honored with a surprise on Friday won on the Academic Field.

15-year-old junior Jerell King just learned that he won a Google Science Fair competition - besting other STEM scholars from across the District.
