(FOX 5 DC) - The man known as the Shopping Cart Killer, Anthony Robinson, who is currently charged with two murders in Harrisonburg, is the primary and singular suspect in the murders of two other women. A possible fifth victim of his has also been found in D.C., Fairfax County Police announced Thursday night.

The suspect, Anthony Robinson, left a gruesome trail of murder as far south as Harrisonburg, Virginia where two victims, identified as 54-year-old Elizabeth Redmon and 39-year-old Tonita Lorice Smith were discovered dead in a lot in November of last year.
Fairfax Police have now confirmed that Robinson is the primary and singular suspect in the murders of 29-year-old Cheyenne Brown and 48-year-old Stephanie Harrison. They say they anticipate criminal charges in the future.

Fairfax County police give update on Shopping Cart Killer case
The man known as the Shopping Cart Killer, Anthony Robinson, who is currently charged with two murders in Harrisonburg, is the primary and singular suspect in the murders of two other women. A possible fifth victim of his has also been found in D.C., Fairfax County Police announced Thursday night.
Police also confirmed that the Metropolitan Police Department is in the process of a death investigation, looking at similar circumstances. Fairfax Police say their person of interest may be linked to a case where a woman was found dead in a shopping cart in D.C.
Police say the woman was covered only with a blanket, and they believe she could be Robinson's fifth victim based on digital evidence that puts him in the same vicinity around the time of the victim's disappearance.
Detectives say they could not give more details on the case as it is being handled by MPD.

New evidence involving the shopping cart killer
Fairfax County police are digging through plastic bags filled with paper receipts to help discover more clues on the "Shopping Cart Killer." FOX 5's Sierra Fox has more.
In December, investigators discovered a container near the Moon Inn Hotel in an isolated wooded area along Fairhaven Avenue in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County.
Inside the container were the remains of two more possible victims. Officers tentatively identified one of the victims as 29-year-old Cheyenne Brown who had gone missing from Southeast D.C. in September. Detectives say Robinson had been in contact with Brown and had been communicating with her through a dating website.

Cheyenne Brown's mother is calling the 'Shopping Cart Killer' a monster and says she can't believe someone could do such unspeakable things to vulnerable women.

A woman who traveled from California to tour the sites in the nation's capital this summer could be a possible fourth victim, according to police. Missing person flyers for 48-year-old Stephanie Harrison tuned up across the Alexandria area after she was last heard from by family on August 19.
Robinson is currently being held without bond.
