A Woodbridge man is dead after being found shot in Alexandria.
Police say 22-year-old Shakkan Elliot-Tibbs was found shot near the 700 block of Fayette Street in Alexandria Thursday night just after 11:30 p.m.
Elliot-Tibbs was transported to a local hospital where he died.
Police are asking anyone with information to please come forward.
This marks the first homicide of the year in Alexandria.
