PRINCE GEOREGE'S COUNTY, Md. - Three people were shot after leaving a funeral in Maryland, according to police.
The shooting happened around 2 p.m. Friday by the 7100 block of Sheriff Road in Landover, as a family was leaving National Harmony Memorial Park cemetery.
According to Major Chad Schmick with the Prince George's County Police Department, the three victims were shot while in a van that was part of the funeral procession.
Major Schmick said all three victims are adults, including two women and one man.

The situation was "peculiar" and it’s possible this incident was targeted, Schmick said.
"Our plea to the community is that we’re looking for any Ring footage, security footage, passersby, people in the neighborhood, anyone that can provide information as to the culprit of this event," he said. "We want to speak to the family. We also want to respect that they just buried a loved one, so right now we’re just having a tough time trying to gather all this information. We’re trying to work as fast as possible."
The victims’ statuses were unknown as of Friday evening, but police said their injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
Schmick said one of their officers was also hurt in the process, as they assisted people in the van.
