Serious crash on Beltway in Prince George's County

LANDOVER, Md. - A dump truck and another vehicle caused major delays on the Inner Loop of the Beltway in Prince George's County after being involved in a crash Wednesday evening.

Maryland State Police say the crash happened on southbound Interstate 495 just south of Landover Road at around 6:45 p.m.

The crash caused the dump truck to overturn and it was leaking diesel fuel on the roadway.

Police say the drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Several lanes were blocked off to traffic as a result of the crash. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
