'Secure-the-building' status for several schools lifted after reports of shots fired in Prince William County
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - A 'secure-the-building' status for several schools in Prince William County has been lifted following an investigation into shots fired Friday.
Potomac High School, Potomac Middle School, Mary Williams Elementary School, Covington Harper Elementary School and River Oaks Elementary School were impacted for about an hour.
Authorities are investigating in the area of River Ridge Road and Route 1 in the Woodbridge area. Officers have located shell casings in that area.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
