A school in Fairfax County was briefly placed on lockdown after police say the occupants of a vehicle they were pursuing fled nearby on foot.
Investigators say the incident began around 9 a.m. when officers attempted to stop a vehicle along Collingham Drive in Fairfax.
Police said the vehicle's driver led them on a pursuit to Sideburn Road and Stallworth Court which is close to James W Robinson, Jr. Secondary School.
Two occupants ran from the vehicle and were soon taken into police custody. The school was placed on lockdown for a short period of time and has since been lifted.
No injuries were reported. Police have not said if the occupants face charges.
