Rainy Saturday afternoon; warm temperatures, gusty winds on Sunday
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - No snow is expected this weekend but a system moving our way will make for a rainy Saturday afternoon and a soggy Sunday morning around the D.C. region.
FOX 5's Mike Thomas says Friday should be cloudy and chilly with highs near 50 degrees. A storm system will bring rain showers to the area Saturday afternoon beginning sometime around 4 p.m. and lasting into the evening. Another round of rain could pass over the region early Sunday morning.
After the rain clears out on Sunday we can expect a big jump in temperatures, Thomas says. Temperatures near 70 degrees could be felt around the area but with the warm air comes very gusty winds.
Expect those warm temperatures to come right back down Monday, says Thomas. Highs in the 40s are expected for much of the week and we are expected to stay dry.
