Taylor Grenda has the FOX 5 Weather forecast for Friday, January 31.
WASHINGTON - Periods of rain will keep most of the Washington, D.C. area damp for much of the day on Friday.
FOX 5's Taylor Grenda says to expect heavier rainfall later in the day as the storm system moves through from the south.
The rain should help clear out any remaining snow left over from earlier this month. Temperatures will be in the upper-40s to the low-50s Friday.
The rainfall is expected to come to an end tonight. Breezy conditions will arrive and will help dry out area. Precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.
A dry but cloudy weekend is anticipated with high temperatures in the low-to-mid-40s.
Next week is expected to be much milder with temperatures in the 60s.
