Prince George's County police say they know quite a lot about the murder of a woman in 1972 - they know who killed her, and they how she was killed, but after all this time, they still don't know who she is.

So they asked for help from the man who took her life.

Samuel Little has confessed to more than 90 murders - killings he carried out for more than 30 years before being caught.

Detective Bernie Nelson sat across from Little in a Texas jail cell trying to get as much information as he could about the murder of a woman whose body was found in a Laurel field seven months after she was killed.

But one detail Little couldn't provide was the victim's name, so they asked him to sketch her face - and this week he delivered.

"From the other drawings that I have seen Samuel Little has done--they look like people. Now whether they are accurate or not is a different question, but that is all that you can go on," Nelson said.

Little told detectives Bernie Nelson and Greg McDonald that he met the victim in the 1100 block of New York Avenue, Northwest where she was working as a prostitute.

Little told police she was 19-years-old, recently divorced, and was from Massachusetts.

"Hopefully this is a great step towards identifying her and finally answering some questions for this victim's family," Nelson said.

Police say they have DNA for comparison if someone finally comes forward claiming to be a family member.
