Prince George's County fire chief to take job in Orlando: report

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting Prince George's County Fire Chief Ben Barksdale is heading south for a new job.

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Prince George's County Fire Chief Ben Barksdale is heading south for a new job.

The Orlando Sentinel reports Barksdale will take over as Orlando fire chief in November.

This past July, FOX 5 broke the news that Barksdale was retiring from Prince George's County and Deputy Chief Tiffany Green was picked to replace him.

At that time, Barksdale said he was slowing down and did not indicate he was looking for another fire chief position.
