Family members of a Warren woman found dead inside her house with her husband arrested say it was an abusive relationship.
At 25, Michelle Williams loved being a mom to her 2-year-old daughter Denver and five years ago Michelle married her high school sweetheart.
Everything took a tragic and deadly turn Wednesday morning at their home in Warren when her husband Devon Williams now in jail according to Warren Mayor Jim Fouts.
"When I pulled up I saw my son in law getting out of the car," her father Ricky Perry said. "I called his name he went in the house and locked the door."
Devon allegedly told police it was quote "Till death do us part" referring to the death of Michelle allegedly at his hands. The manner of death is still unknown.
The family says the couple had their share of troubles, even abuse in the past.
"She said 'He beat my head while I was driving on the freeway,'" said Ann Hairston, Michelle's grandmother. "They had their baby in the car."
The family members are sharing their story in part to help others who may find themselves in abusive relationships.
"If anybody is in a bad relationship it only takes one time for a man to hit a woman," Perry said. "Just leave it's not worth it. Look at the outcome. We didn't know it would happen like this."
Perry said Michelle and their family had a happy childhood.
"We just had a good time with her growing up," said her father Ricky Perry. "We took her to Disney World, cruises. We are going to miss her."
The family will be left to raise Michelle's young daughter and they know it won't be easy. To contribute to their GoFundMe, CLICK HERE.
