Police use DNA to create composite sketch of Montgomery County rape suspect
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Cold case detectives in Montgomery County are investigating the rapes of five women that took place between 2010 and 2012. The sexual assaults are believed to be committed by the suspect. Now, investigators are using DNA to help them come up with a composite sketch of the suspect.
Montgomery County police say they reached out to Parabon NanoLabs, a DNA technology company in Virginia, to help them produce a sketch of the suspect from DNA evidence he left behind at the scene of the crimes.
The composite sketch shows the suspect as a 25-year-old black male with medium to dark complexion. He has brown eyes and black hair.
Police say the suspect would break into the victims' homes and then sexually assault them. There were a total of six incidents and the victims' ages ranged from 37 to 95. One of the women was raped twice.
