Police search for suspect in deadly Laurel motel shooting
LAUREL, Md. - Police have identified a man they say killed a woman and wounded a man in a shooting at a Laurel motel over the weekend.
47-year-old Kenneth Frizzell Diggs, Jr. faces murder charges after police say he entered the Turf Motel on Saturday morning and opened fire on a man and a woman inside.
29-year-old Amanda Duer was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. 33-year-old Derick Henderson was shot in the leg and has since been released from hospital care.
Diggs faces several charges, including murder and attempted murder. Investigators believe Diggs and the victims were involved in a dispute prior to the shootings.
