3-month-old baby found safe after being reported missing

Police in Prince George's County have safely located a 3-month-old boy after his mother told police she gave the infant to an unidentified woman on Monday.

Police in Prince George's County have safely located a 3-month-old boy after his mother told police she gave the infant to an unidentified woman on Monday.

PGPD Chief Hank Stawinksi says the unidentified woman contacted police Tuesday evening after seeing reports on the local news. Stawinski says he does not believe the woman knew the baby was missing.

Prior to the baby being located, sources told FOX 5's Evan Lambert investigators had the mom on surveillance footage at a restaurant in Riverdale Monday night.

The baby is now in police custody. An investigation is ongoing.
