Police motorcycle units involved in crash that closes northbound lanes of I-270 in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - All northbound lanes of Interstate 270 are closed after a morning crash in Montgomery County involving at least two police motorcycle units.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. in the Clarksburg area. Northbound Interstate 270 is closed to traffic just before the weigh station between Route 121 and Route 109.

The motorcycle officers involved in the crash have been transported to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
